Route of Aeolus - Europe 2025

A journey entirely by sail, from the producers to the European coasts, with a cargo selected for its excellence and its history.

This journey connects Portuguese lands to the French Atlantic coast, via England. A challenging and demanding route, inspired by a simple vision: transporting fine products using only the wind as its engine.

Saint-Malo → Granville

Departure from Saint-Malo, first stop in Granville with a warm welcome from the Normandy port authorities. An efficient start before setting sail.

Descent towards Portugal

A fast route along the Atlantic coast, crossing the Bay of Biscay in excellent conditions. Stable and precise navigation that confirmed the ship's potential.

Leixões

Arriving in Portugal in strong winds that immediately tested the boat and crew, the vessel held its course, paving the way for a faster crossing than expected.

Saint-Nazaire

Smooth unloading followed by delivery, notably for the Caboteurs de Lune, who transshipped onto their sailboat to ensure the last kilometer under sail to their members in Pornic, Nantes, La Barre-de-Monts, Noirmoutier and Les Sables d'Olonne.

Plymouth

A key stopover to strengthen our Franco-British links and in particular transshipment on the cargo sailboat IBIS for local distribution to coastal shipping in Cornwall, always carried solely by the wind.

Saint-Malo

Return to home port and unloading on the same day as Grain de Sail 2, a symbol of a burgeoning low-carbon maritime sector. We were notably able to deliver to the Glaz Project association, which is rebuilding a traditional gabare, a "small" cargo sailing vessel, on the Rance river.
